The Ereignisdialog – The cultural technique of the 21st century

The Ereignisdialog is a new cultural technique for the 21st century. It combines thinking, perception, communication and action into a method that enables people to discover meaning in what happens and to actively shape the future.

Before an argument takes effect, an event has already decided.

This idea lies at the heart of the Ereignisdialog developed by Helmut-Whitey Kritzinger. It is not the spoken word that convinces, but what actually happens in the other person during the conversation. The Ereignisakademie brings together training programmes and seminars in which you learn this cultural technique systematically, practise it and transfer it into your working life.

Four principles of the Ereignisdialog

• Perceive instead of react: recognising the moment before the habitual response comes
• Name the event: making visible what is happening between people right now
• Create new events: enabling movement through precise questions
• Impact instead of argument: measuring conversations by their effect, not by the number of arguments
